  • Jonathan is a young boxer mix who is shy and fairly calm. When you see this sweet face, you could never imagine that he endured a great deal of stress and trauma in his short life by surviving the hurricanes in the Virgin Islands last fall! Since coming to Saving Grace, Jonathan has been neutered and undergone heart worm treatment, but since he's not a fan of sudden movements or noise, shelter life was a bit stressful for him. He is in a foster home where they have a fenced yard, 4 adult dogs, but no children nor cats. He has learned basic commands and he is submissive with other dogs. He loves bones and is learning to play with toys. This sweet boy is house trained and crate trained, but since the foster family dogs are not crated, neither is he. Jonathan is an absolute cuddle bug, who just wants to be in a calm environment where he can be close to his person, feel loved and safe, and gain confidence. He loves a curler bed and a bone, and he rarely barks. This adorable, cautious boy will make the perfect addition to a family that is patient while he adjusts and gains confidence. He would be happiest in a home with another dog and a fenced in yard, as he is still nervous about being on leash. He is currently about 30 lbs. and needs to gain some weight, but he still will be a medium size dog. Please consider adding this adorable love bug to your family! All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heart worm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Form can be completed online Please visit our new website at An Adoption Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes.
