  • **Adoption fees for this dog will be waived for previous Saving Grace adopters** Are you a chihuahua lover? Have you been looking for an adorable lap companion who you can spoil rotten? If so, then this Tiny pocket sized older gal with a strong personality, a big history, and a stronger spirit, might be your gal! Burberry came into the Saving Grace program in rotten shape. With the help of donations from the saving grace community , she was able to undergo surgery to remove a large growth she'd been carrying around on her abdomen for some time, xrays , a dental, and a spay. With her recovery behind her, this tough broad is showing us she is hesitantly optimistic that humans really can be a source of great love. Her history has left Burberry with trust issues around people she does not know and a need to slowly integrate into a household. She is particular about who and when she wants to be touched, so a home with adults experienced with small dogs would be ideal. However, even with her difficult past, Burberry has delighted her foster family with her willingness, desire, and ability to assimilate into a new environment. Furthermore, allowed the time and space to explain herself (and treats - oh how she loves treats!), Burberry blossoms into a prize-winning lap snuggler and source of many smiles! She prefers the comfort of home, is crate-trained, and has had no issues with any of her canine or feline foster siblings. Burberry is a very sweet special dog who needs the most perfect home to spoil her, and mostly to understand her. Somewhere a little quiet, and perhaps a lot adoring. She's fairly easy to please if you pay attention to what she needs, and especially if you don't mind a lap warmer! All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Form can be completed online at our website at . An Adoption Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at . Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
