  • Totally terrific Thompson is here and we cannot wait for you to meet him with his funny self, cute ways and a history that he has not shared with us but makes him the most adorable dog character you could imagine adding to your life. Thompson is a flat coat retriever who is a on the small side at about 45 lbs and could likely gain a few more. He is tight lipped about his age as he likes to think of himself as a playgirl model but is likely around 3 to 4 years old. You would never guess in a million years given his disposition that Thompson's life has not been great up until now. Somewhere along the way he his back walking stick got hurt and healed on its own, leaving Thompson with an intermittent hop that is simply adorable and makes us love him more. Thompson has a tongue that stick out between his lips sometimes that will make you giggle and will warm your heart when he takes the opportunity while it is already out there to give you a smooch, or to be honest, many smooches. He sports a big smooshy face and neck that kind of swing back and forth when he walks and he says he would not trade it for the world as a chin tuck via a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon would absolutely take away from his swagger and unique self. We cannot tell you how much we ADORE Thompson. You will just have to come see for yourself. All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $375.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Form can be completed online at our website at https://savinggracenc.org/how-to-adopt/ . An Adoption Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at https://savinggracenc.org/donate-now/ . Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
